Matthew – Day 10 | Seattle Newborn Photographer

Getting to photograph the first newborn in a family is always a privilege. There’s just nothing like watching the beginning of a family, and capturing those fleeting moments. I’ve known Jana and Jeff for a few years, and it was an honor to photograph not only their baby, but their maternity portraits, as well. I love photographing families who are expecting their babies and then again once baby arrives. It is so magical to watch that transformation and then to see the baby who was in that belly!!

They asked if we could include their dog, Buddy, in their session. I love when we are able to include dogs with family portraits – many times, dogs are our first babies!! Buddy was very interested in his new human brother, and was so well behaved during his portraits!

At 10 days new, Matthew slept like a champ for his individual portraits. Isn’t he adorable??
