January 10 on 10: A Personal Project | Seattle Photographer

January 10 on 10: A Personal Project As a seattle photographer, I spend the majority of my time photographing newborns and families. It’s been quite a while since I’ve embarked on a personal photography project. In fact, I’ve failed at quite a few Project 52 attempts – my first lasted 3 months, and others I…

I love your images Alexis.  I have the exact same scenes going up in my next blog.  I love that we took some images the same and some different.  It was a great trip and you captured some amazing memories.  I just remember thinking that I would not like to be the electrician trying to find the faulty cable with all the wires in that machinery.  I am looking forward to our journey together with this project.  ReplyCancel

It is amazing how up close you can get to these shuttles.  I just love these.  They shuttles look like they’re bathed in a beautiful golden light and I love the B&Ws!ReplyCancel

Photographing the Northern Lights

I’ve always been fascinated by the Northern Lights. I always thought I’d have to go to Alaska or somewhere else really far north to be able to see them! Last fall, I heard that a really strong solar storm was expected to make a good showing in the Seattle area! So, my husband, some friends…

Cannon Beach

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared anything other than my client sessions! A few weeks ago, my husband and I packed up the car, including our 90+ pound dog, Bo, and headed down to Cannon Beach. We had briefly driven through once, on a road trip heading further south, and I just knew we had…

Rain + Cute kids + Bo = fun experimenting with studio light

Recently, a fellow photographer friend and I were planning to go out shooting together, but unfortunately, the lovely Seattle rain changed our plans. Disappointed, we decided that we wanted to get together anyway. Just having wrapped a studio session the day before (and not quite having gotten around to breaking down my equipment), it was…

Three adorable kids (I’m not biased or anything…)

My brother is a Marine, proudly serving overseas. 3 months after his second son was born, he and his family moved far away. I was really bummed he was taking my nephews so far, and even more bummed when I wasn’t able to visit when his daughter was born. So, in early October, when he…
