May 10 on 10: Personal Project | Seattle Photographer

A few weeks ago, I headed up to Roozengaarde in Mt Vernon to photograph a friend/client’s kids with a beautiful backdrop of tulips. After our session, we were walking around and viewing the tulips, and it occurred to me that these beautiful flowers would make a perfect addition to this personal project! We managed to…

Wow Lexie, you managed to get some gorgeous images.  I love tulips and you got some great shots of them.  I love the selective focus in these images.  Thank you for brightening up my evening.  ReplyCancel

April 10 on 10: A Personal Project | Seattle Photographer

My husband and I headed down to Southern California to spend a week with my brother and his family. All 3 of his kiddos are active in sports, but only Gavin had a ball game while we were in town. So, of course, Auntie had to bring her camera! The game started just as the…

Lexie these are great.  It is always fun to go and watch family sport.  My kids are much older now but we used to do it all the time.  I love the use of the fence especially with the sunset behind it.  I love that you got in the images as well.  Beautiful share, thank you.  ReplyCancel

Thanks Sharleen! We don’t get to do this often since they live so far away, but always fun when we do 🙂 And that’s not me in the first image – it’s my sister-in-law (but if you look closely, you can see me in her sunglasses!!)ReplyCancel

February 10 on 10: A Personal Project | Seattle Photographer

February’s 10 on 10 images are an homage to my dog’s love of playing with his toys. I had no idea what I was going to photograph for this month, and one day, I ran across Bo’s abandoned toy in a gorgeous patch of sunlight in my dining room. I noticed this patch of light…

What a great set of images  I love the shallow depth of field in the first few images.  Your dog is beautiful and I love that he has a fun toy that he loves and the way he has staked his claim on it in the last image.  Thanks for sharing.ReplyCancel

Thanks so much, Sharleen! He does love his toys….he rotates which one is his favorite, but once it becomes beloved, he’ll always come back to it! (Until he kills it…lol)ReplyCancel

Alexis, these images warm my heart, perhaps because my own pooch doesn’t understand the concept of toys, but mostly because I love the story you tell through them. Beautifully done.  ReplyCancel

Thank you, Ceri! Sad that your pooch doesn’t understand toys, but perhaps that’s easier on the pocketbook! Bo’s toy box is ridiculously out of control…lolReplyCancel

January 10 on 10: A Personal Project | Seattle Photographer

January 10 on 10: A Personal Project As a seattle photographer, I spend the majority of my time photographing newborns and families. It’s been quite a while since I’ve embarked on a personal photography project. In fact, I’ve failed at quite a few Project 52 attempts – my first lasted 3 months, and others I…

I love your images Alexis.  I have the exact same scenes going up in my next blog.  I love that we took some images the same and some different.  It was a great trip and you captured some amazing memories.  I just remember thinking that I would not like to be the electrician trying to find the faulty cable with all the wires in that machinery.  I am looking forward to our journey together with this project.  ReplyCancel

It is amazing how up close you can get to these shuttles.  I just love these.  They shuttles look like they’re bathed in a beautiful golden light and I love the B&Ws!ReplyCancel
