Hi! I’m Lexie! I was born and raised in Central Florida where I spent my days enjoying wonderful things like sunshine, warm weather and Mickey Mouse. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Flute Performance. That’s where I met and fell in love with my husband, Adam. We moved to the Pacific Northwest, where our wardrobes now include a significant number of jackets and rain gear, and a sad lack of flip flops.
I got the photography bug from my dad. He was always taking pictures while my brother and I were growing up. Unfortunately, since he was the one behind the camera, he was so very rarely IN photos. Sadly, my dad passed away when I was 14. A few years ago, I realized that although I have many wonderful memories, I have only a handful of snapshots of us together. It made me realize, even more, how important photographs are – a visual reminder of our pasts.
In my other life, I am also a professional flutist and freelance in the Seattle area. I play with a flute choir, Circle of Flutes, and we released a CD together in 2014. My husband and I are avid Florida State Seminoles fans, and spend most of our free time finding ways to tire out our energetic German Shepherd mix, Bo.
